how to connect hdtv to old home theater?
HI ALL ..haver just purchased samsung lcd hd tv..i have a sony blue ray player which has old rca (red and blue) terminals for audio out and hdmi output..now i have a philips 5.1 budget home theater whch has only rca in type of connections, total six in numbers
when i connect these red and white connectors from player connectors behind subwoofer(no amp unit in HT) labbeled 5.1 channel..i am not getting surround sound and the voluem is too low...when i connect to input label 2.1 channels the woofer cnt spkr and front spkr come into play but the rear speaker which is supposed to give selected tracks outputs all the sounds...
any way out to get the 5.1 sound as per HT manual..there are total 6 contions to be made from dvd player to HT however the player has on 2 out ports.
HOW TO GET 4 ADITIONAL PORTS ON PLAYER SO ALL 5 .1 SPEAKER ARE CONNECTED TO PLAYER OR I SHUD CONNECT HDMI OUT TO HDTV AND TAKE AUDIO OUT FROM THERE TO HT
