Engraving…I'm Drawing a Blank!
We picked our wedding bands! vintage wedding invitations! We are purchasing them from a local jeweler, VA where Mr. B bought (actually designed!) my engagement ring. I'm going this weekend to buy them and get Mr. B's ring engraved, but I have a problem—I have no idea what the engraving should be!
Here are some of my options:
Traditional - I heard the traditional engraving is the bride's maiden initials to the groom's initials and the date. I love the timelessness of that idea, but I think I want to do something more original.
Bible Verses - We're both very spiritual and believe that we need to keep God at the center of our marriage. We discussed some of Mr. B's favorite verses, Galatians 2:20 and Proverbs 3:5 as options, but I'm not sure I want to take that route, either.
Funny - I saw a really funny one on TV once that said "Put it back on!"
Sayings - I also thought of using a saying we said to each other a lot during our relationship. When we first started dating we would always say, "It is what it is!"
Those all seem way too crude though, and I don't want the engraving in his ring to be joke.
