What's the most effective means of re-introducing moral standards?
Once upon a time, old Blighty was considered morally upright. Men and women were generally upright, honest, moral, hard-working and polite.
Today, the majority are still but an ever-increasing rogueish segment is totally immoral and caddish.
Sadly, as a society we are increasingly beset by social problems that cause financial burdens, social disruption, unsociability, crime, violence and so forth.
I peg some blame on the breakdown of traditional moral standards- I'm not referring to church or religious based- I'm referring to old-fashioned common sense and decency.
Example- disrespect of other's property, entitlement mentality, disrespect of elder's, serial baby-daddys, single-parenthood, vandalism, petty theft, = just a motley collection of huge variety of malladies.
What to do to bring proper traditional British values and not the tripe about fair-play and weasel-weasel-blah-blah-blah from the bleating politicians?
Disband the welfare state and all the lazy and feckless will die out. I guess you'd have to rescue people with disabilities and the young.
In my grandmother's day if you didn't work you didn't eat!
Too many people enjoying a free ride these days.
