Picking the right mixer
While they're not as iconic as the turntable, DJ mixers are a key component of a DJ's gear. In their simplest form, mixers are basically electronic equipment that give DJs the ability to create smooth and flowing transitions between songs. Altering the sound and the speed to create a smooth, semaless transition.

If you are starting out as a DJ and are playing in smaller venues your mixer can be a little more low end costing around $50-$90. If youare using a larger speaker set a better quality mixer will remove persistant buzzing that can occur when a low end mixer is made to feed a larger speaker. A good mixer will cost you about $100. For a solidly dependable DJ mixer, you'll probably end up paying around $400.
