can optical audio pass surround sound?
I am going to setup a soundbar home theatre system. If have decided to not use an av receiver. If I connect the tv's optical audio out to the optical audio in on the sound bar, will it pass surround sound through an opticle cable?
If the soundbar acts like a receiver and sends sound to surround speakers, then yes.
