I know speakers that are not magnetically shielded can damage the TV, but can they harm a stereo receiver?
onkyo receiver, older bose surround back speaker (not magnetically shielded)... going to be placed right next to each other (used as a temporary center channel)

thanks for the answers ppl.... and I'm going to get a different one anyway (infinity primus 150... like I have as my back surround) just to be safe, b/c my dvd/cd player is stacked right underneath my receiver, and one of you just made me aware of the dangers of that.... plus, it's on sale =)p.... for the person who wanted the bose serial number...
