phonograph tone arm question- this is odd.?
i have this garrard zero 92 model player from the 70's. the tone arm is rather plain and i have no idea how to set up the cartridge/ stylus/ needle. all on line help has been fruitless so far. it did not come with a needle, or anything on the arm. The are no wires on the end on the arm! the arm terminates in a plastic tip with a hard chaulk-like extension below the back plastic tip. there is a v-cut in the tip, and hole drill into it. there are no screws or holes for screws anywhere on the tone arm. how the heck do i set this thing up?!
It sounds like the cartridge or stylus has been removed, and the wires pulled out.
Probably time to pick up a new turntable - fortunately DJ's and high-end audiophiles have kept them in the relative mainstream.
Technic is the industry standard workhorse, but if you are on a budget, Numark are good.
