How do I hook up my subwoofer?
I have an optimus reciever and subwoofer...the sub only has speaker wire outputs not RCA outputs...where am I supposed to hook the subwoofer up to on the reciever...right now I have the speaker wire hooked up with the rear speakers...I also have a powered sub that has RCA outputs, but it's a front firing sub not down firing like this optimus one....so my question is how do i hook up the one properly with the speaker wire outputs and also if the other one is better should I just use that one?
I would love to answer your question, but I can't get
much sense out of it. From what you say, your Optimus
Sub Unit is not powered. It will require a powered sub out
speaker connections on the back of the multiplex unit, or
a separate amplifier. If your Multiplex unit has RCA outputs
for a sub unit; use the Powered Sub Unit. Take the sub
unit that has the speaker terminals on it, and connect the
FR Positive to the Positive Wire of the sub unit. Connect the
FL Positive to the Negative Wire of the sub unit.
I hope this will work for well you!
