The Seedhouse Superlight 1 Is The Tent You've Always Wanted
If you’re hoping to buy a light and durable one Person tent, that is easy to erect and really has a comfortable amount of room in it , then look no further than the Big Agnes Seedhouse SL 1 tent which uses some of the lightest materials available. The Seedhouse SL1 is of free standing design, for three season use and superlight. Not only that, but the light weight camper can great plus of a double walled tent which is more comfortable and reduces condensation problems which is a big advantage over a tarp or bivvy bag. It is the smaller version of the very popular Seedhouse SL1.
This Seedhouse tent range is one of Big Agnes' lightest , and is more than a match for the competition. With a trail weight of only 2lb 6oz and a packed weight barely more at 2lb 13oz, you can consider taking the optional footprint (weight 5.5oz.) along to protect the floor. The Seedhouse SL1 is the tent the light weight camper has been waiting for !
The Seedhouse SL 1 uses the advanced Featherlite NSL pole system from manufacturer DAC, constructed from eco-friendly anodized TH72M aluminium, with press fit connectors and lightweight hubs. Because of the single hub/pole design, it is straight forward to fix the inner tent to the pole feame using DAC's twist clips.
The material used to make the fly and floor is ultralight silicone treated rip-stop nylon with a 1200mm waterproof polyurethane coating whilst the inner tent is ultralight breathable nylon rip-stop and polyester mesh which offers outstanding insect -free through air circulation .
The Big Agnes Seedhouse SL1 has a single 'D' Shaped entrance and a vestibule big enough to stow boots and other gear in. The vestibule zipper is protected by a storm flap whilst inside is a handy mesh pocket above the door and loops to attach a Big Agnes triangular gear loft ( can be purchased separately). Night time visibility has been considered by the designer who has used reflective webbing on the tent corners and included reflective guylines. All seams are taped with a waterproof, solvent-free polyurethane and there are eleven superlight eco-friendly anodized aluminum stakes.
The Seedhouse SL 1 has an ample floor area of 22sq ft, a generous vestibule area of 5sq ft and head and leg heights of 38" and 16" respectively, yet packs down to just 5.5” x 16”.
