Needle Kenwood
Kenwood turntable needle?

I bought a Kenwood KD-37R player at a garage sale, but the needle was broken off, everything else was fine. I found a cartridge replacement online for $20, but I don't want to spend that much, since I'm not going to use it that often. So first, do I have to replace the whole cartridge, or can I just buy a needle? If I should replace the cartridge, can I just buy a generic one, or so I have to buy ones compatible with the specific turntable?

To replace the stylus (needle), you need to get one made for the cartridge. If the cartridge on the table is original, you need a Kenwood N-67BL stylus that sells for close to $30.00. It's possible somebody may have changed the cartridge over the years. You may be able to tell by the photo if the Kenwood stylus would fit properly or not...
