Midrange Speakers
What does the details on some 6x9 car speakers mean?

There are a lot of 6x9 car speakers around and one stats the following:

3-Way Coaxial 6x9 speakers
Woofer: 16x24cm, cone type
Midrange: 5.5cm, cone type
Tweeter: 1.4cm, balanced dome type
Max. input power: 300 W
Rated Input Power: 60 W
Impendence: 4-ohm
Frequency response 27 - 30000 Hz
Sensitivity 93 dB/W/

But is this good?? I have no idea lol!

first thing is car audio specs are judged by the general car specs rule; i.e., they're so subject to inflation as to be meaningless.

that said, these sound like OK speakers for a non-audiophile system, which if you were building you'd probably know what this all meant. but anyway:

3-Way
woofer, midrange, and tweeter; good combo for car audio. sometimes two-way is used i've seen (and bought) five way 6X9s, but that's just silly. 2 way or 3 way is just fine.

Coaxial
the midrange and the tweeter are mounted on top of the woofer so it's all one unit. makes mounting simpler, but you can't do custom things with it. like putting the tweeters up on the dash or something. pretty normal for car speakiers untiol you get to fancy custom installations.

6x9 speakers
size in inches

Woofer:
16x24cm,
size; works out to about 6X9 inches, surprise

cone type
not many other choices

Midrange:
5.5cm,
diameter

cone type
standard for midrange too

Tweeter:
1.4cm,
diameter

balanced dome type
instead of cone shape like the woofer and midrange, it's shaped like a little half bubble, disperses the sound better. a positive feature, all things equal. i don't know what "balanced" means though.

Max. input power: 300 W
meaningless number without a lot of other details;

Rated Input Power: 60 W
slightly less meaningless without a lot of other details

probably adequate power handling for normal use, not for high decibel contests

Impendence: 4-ohm
normal for car stereos; draws more power from amp at same input than 8 ohm which is normal for home stereo speakers, assuming amp is capable of delivering it. which, this being normal for car stereos, the amp probably is if it isn't junk

Frequency response 27 - 30000 Hz
again meaningless without a lot of other details, but don't count on it to deliver earth shaking subwoofer notes, presumably you know that.

Sensitivity 93 dB/W/
how efficient it is in terms of sound output for power input; 93 is on the high side, again that's good for a car system since you usually are limited for amplifier power.

bottom line, as i said at the top, odds are they are going to sound good. it's hard to find 2 way or higher speakers that really sound noticeably bad these days. and 6 X 9s are big enough to deliver decent bass without needing to be super well designed.

another factor: are they heavy? heavy means big magnets, and that's a good thing. of course you can look at the back end and see; i've seen home speaker systems where the magnet in the sad little woofer was about 1 inch in diameter, because it's hidden inside the speaker enclosure where you can't check before buying. hopefully the ones on yours will be a large chunk of magnet.

also, hopefully, these will fit where you intend to mount them. not a good match to put in your doors, for instance.
