But we don't use vista at our place, we use xp and I am wondering if vista can use our router.
Our router is called netgear and it is quite old.
It seems to be ok, nothing special. There are a few things I would recommend improving.
Primarily your RAM, I would add another 1GB stick for about £25.
Secondly, your graphics card is quite poor, althought it will work fine for internet browsing it will struggle with any games out at the moment and would suggest improving it.
Lastly, your hard drive is small, unless you dont need more space I would also buy another one.
Vista and xp networking has been known to have problems but it may work for you. Just make sure to disable firewalls if it doesn't work first try.
