i am considering buying a stereo amplifier just for stero sound?
i have seen a kenwood model number KA-V7700 is this any good? i alredy have a home theatre kit, but it dosen't sound as good as seperates would... also i was considering buying CERWIN VEGA 2-way speakers, for the amp, are these any good? i do not want to spend alot, i just want normal stero sound, but quite loud, not too loud... please advice thanks...
If you already have a 5.1 home theatre kit, why do you need plain stereo if, as you wrote, you are looking for something "not too loud"? Most home theatre systems are loud enough for the average person, above that are only high performance stuff, like club and concert hall sets. As for sound quality, I suggest you get a better 5.1 system, not a separate set. Always look for wooden cabinets and reliable electronics, don't buy plastic cabinets and tinfoil membranes.. As far as 5.1 systems go, I suggest you give the GENIUS "Home Theatre" family a try. The model 5000 and the newer 5500 gives incredible sound quality and performance at the cost of your living room space, because the satelites and the woofer are quite sturdy. On the other hand, you can easily demolish a building with that thing, so if sound volume is what you are looking for, this is the piece for you.
