Does the Wii remote use infrared rays?
I'm doing a science paper and I have to explain how the Wii console/remote uses infrared rays.. I know that they do use them I just don't know how. I want to know how the companies make them use infrared rays etc..

The Wii Sensor Bar, which you place near the TV, has two clusters of IR-emitting LEDs, one near each end.
The Wii Remote has a camera in the end that only picked up IR light, and sees these clusters of LEDs as 2 points.
The Wii then uses the "image" of the two lights to estimate where on the screen the Wii Remote is pointing, and puts the cursor there.
