In addition to a microphone, amplifier and speaker; what other equipment do I need for singing.?
I'm putting together a Karaoke system using Winamp and a plug in. I can play the music on my stereo and project the graphics. I would rather not run the microphone through my computer, so I'm going to buy a microphone.
What equipment in addition to a microphone, amplifier and speaker would I need to control the sound? Some karaoke systems offer an echo effect to make bad singers sound less bad. I'll take any suggestions.
I guess I'm confused with the first two answers b/c I'm trying to avoid plugging the microphone into a computer, so i don't see how the software will help us.
It would help to have a good voice and you might need voice editing software and some CD's or an MP3 creator to edit and playback your voice. The microphone you get prolly should be high quality if you want a good sound in a computer as well as outside one.
