Imaginary Friend is correct, and to expand on his post, you only get the Dolby Digital by using a digital connection (either an optical digital audio cable or HDMI) connected to an A/V receiver that contains a Dolby Digital decoder. You must also have "digital audio" or "Dolby Digital" selected on the receiver, as by default, most receivers use the analog audio inputs.
