Who is a better singer, Cher or Madonna?
I have read many questions and this one is the most interesting because there is no best answer. Cher has a long history and she has kept her music and her body in the best shape of most all women performers. She is an icon who remains such. Madonna is more recent and her performances are extraordinary and she uses the same appeal as Cher. Given only tenure in the business, I select Cher based upon her unending ability to captivate the public and maintain her own persona. While Madonna has as many sides to her talent, Cher retains her look and does not impersonate previous stars such as Marilyn Monroe as Madonna does.
