Average airfare from SFO to Paris (CDG) would be...?

Hi everyone,

Thanks in advance for your help! I'm planning to go to Paris near the end of December and haven't a clue about what "cheap" airfare is considered. The lowest price I've found (including taxes and fees) is slightly less than $600. Is that a good deal? This is for a Thursday morning departure from San Francisco (I'm not sure if the flight is non-stop or not).

I'm also curious about the Eurail passes-- I'm thinking about buying a Belgium/Netherlands/Luxembourg-France 4-day pass and don't know if it's really worth it (while I'd like to maximize my trip in Europe by visiting a few other nations, I don't want to run myself ragged). Any suggestions?
