question about home theatre music listening?
I am not real good with audio specifics. My receiver is a marantz and has several different listening modes. I have two nice front bookshelf speakers and one subwoofer. Music sounds good on stereo mode but seems to sound better on Dolby PL. Does this sound right? Isn't dolby meant for multi channel? 3 channel? 5 channel? I am getting a center speaker soon. Do you guys prefer two channel music listening or three channel music listening?
Stereo is fine but work nice if you put two speakers in front and two at the back. Left back and front is left ch and right back and front is right ch. On my pc I've got 7.1 sound and my wife got 2 desktop speakers. When playing games the difference isn't that big. All depends on
the size of the room,
the acoustics of the room
The quality of the sound ie speakers and amp
and the price. If it sounds good to you, who cares, it's your music not theirs. Enjoy your music.
